The Arcadia Piano Trio will be performing on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the UCO Jazz Lab in Edmond.  The program will include:  Mozart’s Piano Trio in G Major, K. 496;  Violet Archer’s Four Duets for Violin and Cello;  Oklahoma Premiere of Chen Yi’s Tibetan Tunes for Piano Trio; and Turina’s Piano Trio No. 2 in B minor, Op.76. 
 
The trio hails from all over the world. Violinist Deborah Greitzer resides in Canada, working as a full-time violinist in the Buffalo Philharmonic.  Cellist Linda Jennings is a professor of cello at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Thailand, pianist Chindarat Charoenwongse currently serves as piano and keyboard studies division head at the University of Central Oklahoma. This concert is a part of the newly established “Faculty Artist Concert Series” to help raise money for scholarships for UCO music students.  Tickets ($10) are available at the door.  UCO students with ID are admitted free.  For more information, please call 974-5004.
